About Mrs. Brenwall
This will be my ninth year teaching at Stevenson Elementary school. For the first three years, I taught first grade, and this will be my sixth year teaching fifth grade. I am very excited for the 2019-2020 school year.
I was born and raised in Bloomington. I went to District87 schools and more excitedly I attended Stevenson School for grade school. I attended Illinois State University for undergraduate as well as my masters. I graduated with my masters in teaching and learning in May 2017. I have a true passion for working with children. I thoroughly enjoy teaching reading and language arts. I hope with every school year that my students inherit my love for reading and become avid readers. I also love seeing my students take learning into their own hands through explorations and guidance.
I love going on vacations, activities outside, being around my family and friends. My husband, Jesse, works at State Farm. We have a son Edward that will be two years old in December. We absolutely adore him and love watching him grow.

About Mrs. Lim
I have been teaching at the 5th grade level at Stevenson for 10 years. During my free time I love to read adolescent novels to share and connect with my students. Math is my favorite subject to teach - which I find interesting since I struggled in math as a student myself. Most of all, I love guiding students to work to their fullest potential.
I grew up in the Chicago suburbs and moved to Bloomington to attend Illinois State University where I received my Bachelor's in 2010. Then after having a few years of teaching experience, went back to earn my Master's Degree and Special Education certification in 2018. I'm happy my husband and I decided to make Bloomington our home where we are raising our 2 young children, Isabelle (2 y/o) and Elijah (1 y/o).
I am thrilled for the 2019-2020 school year! Please don't hesitate to contact me through email or class dojo message; my classroom door is always open!

About Ms. McConnell
I am so excited to start off my teaching career at Stevenson Elementary! I know that great things are going to happen in the 2019-2020 school year.
I was born and raised in a small, farming community outside of Morris, Illinois. I graduated from Illinois State University with my degree in Elementary Education this past May. I have always enjoyed school, and once I discovered I would never stop learning, it became a passion of mine. This is when I decided that while I could teach students of my own, I would be able to learn from them as well. I am excited to see how my students and I grow this year!
One of my favorite things include my dog, Bella, but I love all dogs in general. My favorite treat is frozen yogurt, but I’ll be seen snacking on chips, salsa and guacamole. I am a life long Cubs fan, as I was raised as one. My family is all back in Morris, but they are my biggest support system.
